DaF Track (German as a second language)
At this level, the language learner is becoming an active language user. Students move from reception (skills in reading and understanding as well as listening and understanding) to producing and interacting in German. Students work towards the second level (A2) of language competence. Students develop the skill set to read and interpret short stories and poetry. Letter writing is introduced and refined. An emphasis is placed on correct spelling and proper grammar. Intercultural awareness is enhanced and group and class projects are used to deepen language competence.
