The mission of the German Language School of Union County for the past 90 years has been to foster a friendly and encouraging environment, giving all students the opportunity to learn the German language. We strive for the highest academic standards and immerse our students in the German culture to enable them to navigate the global community.
The German Language School of Union County is a recognized member of the German Language School Conference, a national organization of German schools in the United States. In addition, we participate in the Partner School Initiative (PASCH) of the German Federal Foreign Office. Our membership in these organizations ensures leading standards of German language eduction throughout our organization.
Our highly trained teaching staff maintains a role in the American Association of Teachers of German, a national body for German educators. Many of our teachers have been instructing the German language for decades in public, private, and post-secondary educational settings.
Through our engagement with our local community in the New York metropolitan area, as well as the larger community of German language schools domestic and abroad, we continually advance the boundaries of language education for the benefit of our students.
