Heritage Track
In this class, students work towards the second level (A2) of language competence. Communication competencies are enhanced in regards to reading, listening, writing, and oral skills. Authentic German media is used to enhance the understanding of both concrete and abstract topics and themes. The active learner can interact with heritage speakers with a certain degree of fluency. Essay and letter writing are refined and an emphasis is placed on correct spelling and proper grammar. Intercultural awareness is enhanced and group and class projects are used to deepen language competence.
