Registration for the 2018 – 2019 School Year Is Now Open

Dear Parents, The German School of Union County invites all students to register for the 2018 – 2019 school year. Our online registration is available now. Please follow the following registration procedure, as our policies have changed: Registration Dates for the 2018 – 2019 School Year Returning Students Register: Starting May 19th and ending August 15 New Student Register: Ongoing Initial tuition payments for new and returning students must be made by August 15th in order to secure your children’s placement. End of Year Program and Schulfest

To our German School Community, Please be reminded, on Saturday, May 12th, 2018, students, parents, and guests will meet – regular school time – at the Deutscher Club Clark, 787 Featherbed Lane, Clark, NJ (Parkway exit 135) for our End of School Year Celebration. Winfield School will be closed. All students will have to report to their teachers by 9:15 a.m. at their assigned tables. The official program will start at 9:30 a.m., followed by the students’ presentation of songs and dances, arranged by music teacher Frau Tetzlaff. A DJ will further entertain us. Avant STAMP Test Now Offered

Dear School Community, The German School will be offering the Avant STAMP test starting in 2018.  Avant STAMP (STAndards-based Measurement of Proficiency) 4S determines language proficiency in 4 domains (Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking) for grades 7-16. Avant STAMP 4S is web-based and computer-adaptive, with real-world questions on topics selected to be level-appropriate based on research into topics taught at each level. With completion of the STAMP and by reaching a certain number of points, students will be able to apply for the Seal of Biliteracy within their school district. German Heritage Council of NJ 2018 Scholarship

To Our School Community, In 2018 the German Heritage Council of NJ will again offer several scholarships in amounts ranging from $500 to $1000. Once again we are also awarding a special scholarship to an exceptionally qualified candidate in the amount of $1000 or greater in memory of former chairman Ted Hierl. This is to honor his more than 20 years of outstanding leadership in the German Heritage Council of NJ. Annual Christmas Program

Dear Parents and Friends,   We would like to invite you to our annual Christmas celebration, which will be taking place in the school gym on Saturday, December 9th at 10:30 AM.   Our classes have worked hard to create a festive show to get you in the holiday spirit.
